The pupular QWERTY keyboard layout introduced with the Remington Typewriter models.
The invention of the typewriter created a strong revolution in the printing industry, as well as made writing a more accessible art form for the American household. It reformed schools and businesses everywhere, and the American public reacted with great interest and acceptance of the new machinery.

-Invented by Christopher Latham Sholes, and distributed by the Remington Company in 1873

-This machine was a huge success, and many other typewriter models were introduced into the market.

-By the 20th century, almost every American household, business, and school used typewriters regularly.

-The introduction of the typewriter in the 19th century had very similar effects to the introduction of the personal computer in the 20th century.
